Dr. Alexandra Clark is a licensed Clinical Neuropsychologist and Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of Texas (UT) at Austin. She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Neuropsychology from the
San Diego State University/University of California San Diego (UCSD) Joint Doctoral Program. After graduate school, she
completed a full-time postdoctoral fellowship in Interprofessional Polytrauma Traumatic Brain Injury
Rehabilitation at the San Diego Veterans Affairs Hospital, as
well as a part-time fellowship in Neuropsychology and Novel
Neuroimaging Metrics for Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) at UCSD.
Dr. Clark directs the Mechanisms Underlying Neurocognitive
Aging Research Lab and is a member of the Texas Aging and
Longevity Center and Center on Aging Population Science at UT. Her research focuses on
characterizing key drivers of racial/ethnic disparities in AD. She has published more than 50
peer-reviewed scientific articles, which highlight that social, structural, and environmental
circumstances impact biological systems that may accelerate cognitive decline in late life. Her research program has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, Department of Defense, and Alzheimer’s Association.
She also provides cognitive feedback to participants who enroll in her research study and does clinical work a in a local private practice and community clinic. Please contact her to learn more about reduced or low cost services.
